The Problem
The client dispatched 400+ vehicles daily across three cities using WhatsApp and phone calls. There was no visibility into vehicle location, fuel consumption, or driver behaviour in real time.
Our Approach
We built a platform with a live tracking dashboard (WebSockets + Mapbox), a route optimization engine using the OSRM routing library, and a mobile app for drivers. All telemetry was processed through a streaming pipeline with 2-second update intervals.
Results
Fuel costs dropped by 17% in the first 90 days. On-time delivery rate improved from 71% to 93%. Dispatch team headcount stayed flat while handling a 35% increase in daily deliveries.
